Velehentor however, deserves a separate theme, this Ural collective, possible to name one of the most interesting post-industrial collectives of Russia. Since the basis in 1998, by mastermind and the unique constant participant, 121 (CLOSING THE ETERNITY; VALHALLA), they have let out 11 albums. VELEHENTOR never had accurate stylistic frameworks, it Dark Ambient; Industrial; Harsh Noise; Power Electronics; Ritual; Drone Ambient; each album is unique and distinct from another, but VELEHENTOR, is always recognised, on unique sound and absolutely and precisely verified concept. Sounding gets out according to a theme of albums.
Each album VELEHENTOR is devoted any defined, to event, a place or the phenomenon, with an ominous shade, poisonings with the Siberian ulcer; nuclear bombardments; terrorism; dead cities in zones of ecological disasters; cases of poisonings of one people by others; war; the cities-phantoms left by people; mass suicides and inexplicable, mysterious cases destruction of people - as on albums 'Dyatlov Pass' which we pride represent!

"Dyatlov Pass" has been recorded in 2002, it scale record consisting of 2И long, nearby-hour tracks one of which has been written down together with "Ad Lux Tenebrae", and 9 short compositions.
In 2003 without the permission of the authors, the first track has been published in a cd-r format, limited in 121 copy, by a piracy label 'fight music' and stood out for a high-grade album. The edition has been instantly sold-out, has received huge quantity great and enthusiastic responses, and till now it is considered one of the best drone ambient works from Russia...

It's a true monument and a masterpiece of ritual-shamanic drone ambient music.
The album is devoted, mysterious death of nine professional tourists, on a mountain Holat-Sjahl slope (that in transfer from Mansi language - "Mountain of dead") on February, 1st 1959З. Sixty years later this history continues dements researchers, but the solution probably will be already never found... The set of versions, hundreds research expeditions, and can explain nothing years of investigations that has occurred that night!?
Investigations of the deaths suggest that the hikers tore open their tent from within, departing barefoot in heavy snow; while the corpses show no signs of struggle, two victims had fractured skulls, two had broken ribs, and one was missing her tongue. According to sources, the victims' clothing contained high levels of radiation, but no one from group do't work with radioactive objects.
Soviet investigators determined only that "a compelling unknown force" had caused the deaths. Entrance to the area after the incident was barred for three years. The chronology of the accident remains unclear due to the lack of survivors to the accident.

fairies somehow releated to water. There is Grageth-Anoon, a fairy that can be seen near small lakes, there is Argea,that comes out from a river to tell your destiny and Anja, a
fairy hidden in a tear. The sound of the album is just more acoustic than recent
releases of the band and almost all songs are following the verse/chorus/verse rule. Acoustic and Classic guitars are the main instruments at the base of the compositions,
flutes and delicate synths create, then, light arrangements giving that ethereal mood that will be more present in the following releases of the band. Russian project Erthad, originating from Kazan, exists since late 90-ies, but until now still hasn't made any official releases and preferred to stay in underground, recording music only for himself and his friends. It is the second compact disc of one of СТЮБКЫЙИ representatives modern Indie Folk stages. The whole 12 songs which have been wrapped up in intro/outro.
Folky indie pop. Neutral Milk Hotel meets Comet Gain meets The Velvet Underground some other 60's music and a flute. This is a summery album, but with always present dark undertones. Duration of 43 minutes and all this only hits!
Influences of traditional music, it is clear as day in structure of a song. Only listen to introduction... It is very interesting, and it just the introduction! Improbable game of an acoustic guitar, a variety of structures of songs, singing of various vocalists and games of various tools, will not leave time for boredom. Stefan's voice with very pleasant timbre will be remembered on long. The voice of Stefan's sister Karin almost gives in to the description as "a heavenly vocal".

Belovodie is the first studio disk in last five years and the third full-frame studio album in the history of the band. Like previous releases of Moon Far Away Belovodie has it's own concept. From the very beginning the band underlines in different ways the ritual component in it's creative work and it's closeness to ancient traditions. And at the same time journalists were asked by the question - why does the band ignore in it's creative work the Russian north tradition theme that is the subject of interest of the musicians? So that is the moment! The new album almost all consists of folk songs of the Arkhangelsk state in original arrangement of Moon Far Away.
For the first time the release date in Russia coincides with the official release date abroad. The release in USA and Europe is realized by French label Prikosnovenie. This compilation is a tribute to the people who became victims of tragedy in Belarusian village Khatyn.
Stigmata magazine presents the first Belarusian compilation with international line-up ибфщош: Tacet, Sed Loquitur: 13 legendary bands from all-over Europe, Lithuania, Belarus and Russia joined their forces to remind people about victims of inferno in small Belarusian village Khatyn. Genres included are dark ambient, folk, electro, industrial and gothic. Almost all of the tracks are exclusive. The release includes matt varnished digisleeve, 3 cards and a 12 pages booklet. All artwork is made by Stigmata design and based on original photos from Belarusian State Photo Archive. The CD is limited to 500 copies.
Belarus, March 22nd, 1943. An attack on the German patrol took place near a minor village known as Khatyn. Among those injured during the attack was Hans Welke, an Olympic champion of 1936, favored by Hitler. An order to "seek and destroy" was issued to the 118th police battalion being under Oskar Dirlewanger, "The Lame Demon", as he was commonly known. The 118th battalion was formed in Kiev, Ukraine, consisting of Ukrainians, former Soviet soldiers captured by the Germans, subsequently taking the Nazi side. These were specially trained to suppress the local population. The battalion's chef was Erich Kerner, Grigory Vassiura was the headquarters chief.
The punitive forces entered Khatyn. The local partisan (guerilla) troops which stayed in the village fled rapidly. Khatyn was doomed. At sunset there barely anything left of Khatyn other than smoke rising from the ashes. The population were burnt alive, too. 149 people, 75 children. The youngest victim was just 7 weeks old.
Our compilation is a reminder of the March 22, 1943 events, meant to pay homage to the people who became victims of this pointless war. All war is a crime.
We did not use the photos of the current Khatyn memorial in artwork on purpose, emphasizing that this tragedy is not just an accident. It is just one of the many, as violence and cruelty are common during any war on this planet. There's only one thing left to the populace, and this thing is the death of martyrs. Khatyn in Belarus, Dresden in Germany, Hiroshima in Japan, Oradour sur Glane in France, Songmi in Vietnam, Deir Yassin in Israel, Beirut in the Lebanon: Yugoslavia, Iraq... Different countries, even different continents - but the consequences are all the same. Any war is a Crime.
Take a look at the photos of Belarusian villages burnt to ashes. Look at the people on these pictures. They all became hostages to the grand war led by their neighbours. One third of the Belarusian population were killed between 1941 and 1945.

Svasti-ayanam is Peter Andersson's foray into dark, Tibetan-Nepalese ambience. Andersson is well known for his work as Raison D'etre, Atomine Elektrine etc. In this incarnation, his signature Raison D'etre sound has been modified in an incredibly pronounced, and effective way. The Last Hour is the solo project of Roberto Del Vecchio ex-well known Cold Meat Industry act Gothica. The music is cold dark wave, played in an atmospheric and romantic way (this is Italian!) with touch of harsh industrial elements and modern electronica, combined with neo-classical and soundtrack-like tunes. In some parts it reminds me a lot of classic Hyperium releases ( Stoa, Anchoarge, Manic P) as well as such Projekt bands as Lycia and Soul Whirling Somewhere or recent CMI signers like :Golgatha:, Atrium Carceri , or even 4AD icons like This Mortal Coil , Dead Can Dance and Clan of Xymox. Roberto creates music which paints an atmospheric pictures in the listeners head. The whole album is true masterpice of art sombre. Enjoy!

The second album by Temple Music is a pause for breath between the Volume One and Volume Two workings and the first recorded output of the project after expansion to a duo with Alan Trench (Orchis, 12000 Days, World Serpent etc) now joined by Stephen Robinson (Bug, The Beloved, Mutoid Waste).
Opening with the lyric beauty of Myrrh and Belladona (featuring Tibetan singing bowls and Pixiphone) the mood deepens with the elegiac drift of Eisendrang where, to a stately undertow of subterranean gongs, the loss of the past is mourned with a distant wail of feedback as a floating, spacious fx guitar duels with whistles and a bass Moseno flute.The mood changes again with Harmony Rosy Cross, a paean to a dead friend which features oddly out of kilter acoustic and electric guitars circling and spiralling, changing and unchanging ceaselessly and hypnotically, never quite resolving.Satyrion was written specifically as part of the soundtrack to HAXAN (Witchcraft Through The Ages)(1922) and first performed at a screening of the film on 01 07 05 ev.The atmospheric version here magisterially conjures the nightmare claustrophobia of Benjamin Christensons surreal and hallucinogenic masterpiece.The album continues claustrophobically to close with Thunder: Father of Bulls, a section of a much longer piece (an invocation to Poseidon) which showcases the band in a live setting with analogue synth, fx guitar and a bass delay system.
Despite - or because of - having so many disparate elements, the album is a cohesive whole and a joy to listen to (preferably around 3 o'clock in the morning).
The dreamer will awake.

"Who lives here" - a postcard from a strange land, where only ruins can be seen; the reality is very different...
"Ballad of the cutty wren" - trad arr twelve thousand days; we had wanted to record this for some time but had to rewrite the words first. Then we couldn't capture the spirit so recorded it live and added a few overdubs. The cutty wren is borne back again...
"Song of slowsand" - the journey continues, the signs are all around us...
"Monument and effigy" - there is in every life a moment of perfect silence. Recognise it. Grasp it to you...
"All will fade" - some are fast, some are slow. A song from a forest...
"Sparklenight" - the visual equivalent of silence. A very optimistic song but with a very dark undercurrent. Will you answer the call?...
"Cries distant calling" - things speak to us in many ways. Whose fault is it if we don't understand them?...
"Thistles" - thistles are survivors. They have deep roots. They twist and twine everywhere - chop them down and they will always come back. The seed of the thistle is carried aloft and grows where it settles be the land ever so barren...
"The cruel mother" - trad arr twelve thousand days; there was a lady lived in York who loved unwisely and murdered her own child. Like the cutty wren we had to perform this live to get away from its 'standard' status. The perfomance was much longer; we ran out of tape...
"Miracles beginning" - sun rises and flood the land. There is always renewal.

The album is made in the best traditions of the band, which confesses the religion of nordic dark ambient, filled with the noises of winter forest and with the breath of nordic wind.
Expecially for that release mastering was done in Strype Klangschmiede (Oslo, Norway) in 2008.

This compilation explores the darker side of British folk music, evoking the mystery of our ancient past and peoples, the strangeness of their beliefs, arcane traditions and the remnants of this carried down the centuries as folklore. The story of WALDSONNE began in 2003 when four members of the Moscow-based dark-folk band NEUTRAL 'saw the sunlight streaming through the black depths of the forest' and made their mind to play warm and light-colored songs while remaining in the neo-folk trend. LANGUOR was born that year. In 2004, the song 'The Purpose Wells' was included to the Shadowplay Records 2CD-release naturally entitled 'Colours of Black: Russian dark scene compilation'. Designating their distance from the dark-scene, the ensemble changed their name to WALDSONNE and start recording material for their debut album. Veronika Martynova (voice, Irish harp), Iliya Lipkin (mandolin, acoustic guitar), Petr Sviridov (acoustic guitar), and Anna-Noel Buzuk (violin) strive to merge into natural forces and express themselves in live-acoustic instrumentation and natural singing.

It took WALDSONNE almost three years to complete their debut full-length album. Of 11 album-tracks of Wanderer (four tracks from their internationally acclaimed Strahl demo-EP are all re-recorded here), 5 are pure instrumental compositions, 1 comes with textless vocalization, 2 songs are sung in English, another 2 in German, and 1 is presented in Russian. The band combines clean mandolin, guitars, Irish harp, and violin into fairy acoustic blend of music with roots in medieval folk and heathen rite chants. The female singing leads the song at times strong and majestic though always tender and seductively romantic. On some tracks the quartet is supported by percussionists (Evgeny Tkachev of OPYCHAM, and Andrey Buratino of ARCHTHEATRE and EAE) and flutist (Helgi of EMBRACE OF BRANCHES). The instrumentation hovers and weaves freely while song-structures and arrangements are complex and thorough. The whole work shines with heartwarming and inspiring tones, it's all about magic and fascination but not about dark melancholy and depression.

This epic ambient / dark wave / light wave the material less "is gloomy" rather than previous. Beautiful, easy, and sometimes expressive of a melody create a unique atmosphere. For creation of the necessary atmosphere the moderate quantity ethnic is used. But music is not sated slavic or celtic with melodies (though in one place is brightly used celtic bagpipes), we guess them only fragments, desire of the author was only moved imagination of the student.
